Data Engineering Manager

Salary: £105,000 – £115,000

Data Idols are working with a high-growth technology business looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead and develop its data capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious organisation at a key stage of growth, where data plays an important role across product development, commercial performance and strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity

As Data Engineering Manager, you will shape the data engineering strategy and roadmap, lead a small high-performing team and work closely with senior stakeholders to build the data capabilities needed to support the organisation as it scales.

This is a strategic but hands-on role, with a strong focus on data architecture, data modelling and analytics engineering. You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s data foundations, ensuring data is reliable, scalable and accessible, while continuing to develop the data warehouse, pipelines and dbt environment.

You’ll work closely with analytics and data science to ensure they have the right data and infrastructure to deliver high-quality insights, experimentation and advanced analytics. You’ll also explore how AI and automation can improve data processes, engineering workflows and the wider organisation.

Skills and Experience

• Strong data science experience with leadership or management responsibility
• Strong knowledge of experimentation and measurement
• Technical experience with Python and SQL
• Experience using data science to influence product and business decisions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
